Travel Vaccination Service
Start preparing for your trip at least six weeks before you go.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to complete our travel questionnaire. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
It’s important to make your initial appointment as early as possible, as a second appointment will need to be made to actually receive any necessary vaccinations. Most vaccines have to be specifically ordered, so it’s best to have your first appointment at least 6 weeks before your travels and another appointment 2 weeks before you travel, to allow the vaccines to take effect.
